In Memorial
Robert Stanley Radko, August 12, 1936 to April 19, 2025
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Stanley Radko, who left us at sunrise, April 19, 2025 at Toronto General Hospital. Born on August 12, 1936 to Stanley and Eva Radko, Robert lived a full life right to the end of his 88 years in remarkable health and fitness. Robert dedicated his life to knowledge and self sufficiency, compassion and support to all. He will be leaving a legacy of enduring commitment to both family, education, and community.
Robert is now re-united with his dear wife of nearly 60 years, Inge Radko, whose gentle spirit and unwavering support enriched every moment they shared together.
He is survived by his sons Ron and Rick, Rick’s loving wife Sarah, and his beloved grandchildren: Nicole, Kaitlyn, Russell, and Trevor. Their continued love and support stand as a testament to the enduring impact of his life.
Robert devoted his career to teaching Physics at Earl Haig Secondary School, where his enthusiasm for science ignited curiosity in countless students. His commitment to education was evident every day, and his influence will be cherished by all who had the privilege of learning from him.
Robert’s joie de vivre was an inspiration to all. He was an avid gardener, cyclist and square dancer. Robert embraced the rhythm of life and the camaraderie of the dance floor. His passion for movement brought joy to the square dancing community and his life. Robert and his family are eternally grateful to the neighbours and community on his street, who were both his friends and support in the years since Inge’s passing. Robert and his family were avid members of the cottage community at Harp Lake where the cottage he and Inge built with their own hands, almost 60 years ago, remains in the family today.
May he rest in peace, forever in our hearts and memories.
